GU Medicine and Sexual Health clinics in Exeter and Tiverton

Our clinics are run by trained doctors and nurses who specialise in testing and treating sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

All our doctors, nurses, support and reception staff offer friendly, non-judgmental support. Our clinic is confidential even if you are under-16 and we will not talk to other people or services without discussing this with you first.

We provide:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, including Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Genital Warts, Herpes, Vaginal infections.
  • Management of complex GU Problems including genital pain, chronic discharge and genital skin disorders.
  • Specialist counseling and psychotherapy for clients working on the psychological aspects of their sexual health.
  • Screening for blood-borne viruses including Syphilis, Hepatitis and HIV.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination where appropriate.
  • Post-exposure prophylaxis for HIV where appropriate.
  • On-going management and care for people living with HIV.
  • Emergency hormonal contraception and advice.
  • Specialist care for people who have experienced rape or sexual assault.
  • Nurse advisers who will undertake contact tracing and provide expert advice on the full range of sexually transmitted infections.

The clinics are based at Sidwell Street Walk-In Centre, Exeter and Tiverton and District Hospital, Tiverton.
